The peanut is still walking around with his wizard hat, screaming zing.zang.zoom! Thanks momcentral and feld entertainment!

Well...well...well

We're finally walking. Peanut is wobbling around. And he's happy about it. He recuperated well and we had to learn how to walk all over again, but he is just as happy as I am to be independent once more. Not to mention the big smiles he gives us. It seems like so long ago that the body cast is a merely a memory. Now its off to running around some more!

Picnic...with the ants..

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

Last Sunday, the peanut decided he was packing his own picnic and we were taking him to the park...and when we asked him why? He said..."to feed the ants of course, they always come to picnics, so we have to take yummy food!" LOL. So we gave him his own basket and he grabbed all the good stuff! We had a great time. It was sunny, yet breezy! And...he made it a point to find some ants. P.S. My husband ate all the good stuff!

Ouch...

Unwillingly, I had my 4 wisdom teeth pulled...OUCH...very, extremely painful. Only great thing about that day, my husband and I were able to sit and have a quiet breakfast, and enjoyed this lovely city view. We survived the pain, the grooogggineesss, and the countless ice paks.

Birthday Party Fun...

Birthday boy enjoying his cake, and eating it too!

Peanut and dad rolling around and having fun!

Monkey played on the giant jumper for hours, and hours....

We were invited to a cousin's 2nd b-day party, and the boys had lots of fun. It was great they had kiddie pools filled with bubble mix and straws, and soft kiddie pool with throw balls. A roll around wormy and a fun gal who made balloon doggies, swords and hats. Food was faboosh. Kiddies had hot dogs and hamburgers and for the adults they had Cuban food. Too good! Lots of fun! We all enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for the invite :*).

The Culprit...

PhotoStory Friday

Twelve weeks into the recovery of the peanut's broken femur, and according to daycare, this kid's at play trike was the culprit. Needless to say, in twelve weeks we have learned so much. How meaningful the words, please and thank you are. How important little things become, but most important how patience plays the best role in any situation. Now, many things don't matter as much as they did, and a lot of things mean a lot - like, the smile on the peanut's face right after they took the leg cast off, and the best thing in the world was "looking" like Karl from the movie 'Up' because he's using a walker...but he doesn't want to get gray hair and a big nose! To little things, and big.

Mom's School Project...

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

A few weeks ago..I found myself running around trying to finish the school Auction Project for the 5th Grade, the monkey's class (this year I was room parent)...and with the help of my husband and family, we were able to do this "Class Tree" based on the 5th grade's geneology themed project earlier this year, we had to do a "Family Tree". Needless to say...I think I stressed out more about my school project, now I know how my 5th grader feels! Ahhh veyyy...

And We're Off.....

Happy to report the body cast (spica cast) came OFF this past Tuesday, and we have 3 more weeks to go with the leg cast. But boy is he much happier. Every morning when he wakes up he says..."mommy, I'm so glad my blue cast came off." He is such a trooper...I am admiring the character in this 4 year-old, not because he's my kid, but because if it were me, I would have gone nut so already, and he's still smiling. Thanks to all for the good thoughts and get wells sent. We're on the mend!

Wormy...very wormy...

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

This worm's for you. So in between all the commotion...Peanut made a wormy as his art project whilst in the body cast, and we put him by the fruit bin (ears made of toothpicks). I like him...he's bright and colorful. He makes my day. And it reminds me that childhood is all about happy, colorful, bright, smiley feelings, no matter how bent out of shape you are. Peanut is on his 4th week in a spica cast (a.k.a. full body cast) and his femur is healing nicely. We see the Orthopaedic specialist next week to see how much longer. He is a trooper, we are surviving, but best of all -- he has found solace in art. The view from here - wormy. Just wormy.
